When was the last time you truly unplugged?

This past weekend, I traded screens for snowshoes and stepped into the quiet of the forest. No notifications, no emails, no social media. Just the crunch of snow beneath my feet and the stillness of winter all around.

I noticed the quiet all around me... a silence so profound it seemed like I was the only person out there. And yet, I didn’t feel alone. In that moment of disconnection from technology, I felt more deeply connected to everything else.

It was a simple reminder of why I’m looking forward to the Global Day of Unplugging (March 7–8). Not as a rule or a restriction, but as an opportunity to step away from the digital noise and rediscover what’s waiting for us when we pause.

What might you notice in your own unplugged moment?

If you’re curious, join me for The Unplug Experiment. It’s five days of lighthearted nudges to disconnect from devices and reconnect with yourself on the Global Day of Unplugging. The email nudges start March 4.

I hope you join me!

This Week's Tip: The 5-Second Reset

Pause. Take a deep breath in… and out.

Notice one thing you can see, hear, or feel. Just one.

Let it anchor you in this moment. No effort, just awareness.

Your Weekly Invitation to Slow Down... Pause for 30 seconds, take a deep breath, and ask yourself:How often do you see what you expect - rather than what’s actually there?
