A 5-minute Earth Day pause (yes, just 5)

Connection Notes: Your Weekly Invitation to Slow Down
Pause for 30 seconds, take a deep breath, and ask yourself:

When did I last feel the earth beneath me, not just walk on it?

Take this question with you if time is short, or settle in and explore with me...I'd love your company 🧚🏻

With Earth Day around the corner—a day to honor the ground we walk on, the air we breathe, and the water we drink—remember this:

  • You are made of the same stuff as stars.
  • The sun's energy flows through every bite of food you eat.
  • Trees give you oxygen...a silent exchange happening thousands of times each day.
  • Water reminds you to flow, not force. (You are mostly water, after all)
  • Every breath connects you to all living beings. The air in your lungs? It's traveled the world and been breathed by countless creatures before you.

In our hyper-connected digital world, we often forget our most profound connection—the one with our home planet. This Earth Day (Tuesday, April 22), I invite you to step away from screens and schedules to remember:

You aren't just on Earth; you are Earth.
You aren't just a part
of nature; you are Nature.

Three Simple Ways to Reconnect This Week:

  1. Touch the ground with awareness. Feel the earth beneath your feet, whether it's soil, sand, or city concrete. Remember what supports you.
  2. Breathe with intention. Take three deep breaths outdoors, imagining the exchange between you and the trees—your carbon dioxide becoming their food, their oxygen becoming your breath.
  3. Witness water. Spend five minutes beside any water source—from ocean waves to a small garden pond or even the stream of your kitchen sink. Notice how water never struggles against obstacles, simply finding another path.

These aren’t just nature activities—they’re practices that help you remember the wisdom, resilience, and peace that are always within you, waiting to be rediscovered.

So take some time to reconnect—not just with nature, but with your own true nature.

Oh, and if you are doing anything special for Earth Day, reply and let me know! Would love to hear what you are doing. I will be spending some time on the trail pictured above.

Sending love and nature vibes,

Chris

Need a Reset? Take a Strategic Pause with Me

If you're feeling the call to reconnect in a deeper way, my SPARK Session might be the perfect opportunity. Think of it as a "strategic pause" or a "reset button"

It's a one-hour session to help busy professionals unplug, reset, and move forward with clarity and calm.

Remember, slowing down isn't a step back but a powerful step forward.

🌿 Root Yourself

Quick grounding practices to help you slow down and reconnect.

This Week's Tip: The Tree Breath

Stand tall, feet on the ground, imagining roots going into the earth from your feet.

Take a deep breath in, and as you do, visualize energy rising from the earth, through your roots, into your body.

As you exhale, stretch your arms up and out wide, like tree branches, releasing any tension.

Take three more breaths, each time rooting deeper into the earth, growing taller toward the sky.

Feel the strength of your connection to the earth and the space you take up.

Connection Notes is your weekly reminder to slow down and create space for you. Remember, while your work, your people, and your life matter… so do you. If this resonated, feel free to forward it to someone who might need a moment to breathe today.

But really...why are you here, on this earth? And I’m not talking about your job, your purpose, or the roles you carry: parent, partner, teammate, leader, caretaker, achiever.
