Beyond the hustle - how do you actually want to live your life?

Take 30 seconds to pause: Take a deep breath and ask yourself...

Am I only focused on what I'm doing or am I also paying attention to how I’m living?

Now exhale slowly and let's explore this together.

As I sit here, watching the sun set over the trees in my backyard, writing this letter to you, I realize I don’t have anything to write.

Okay, that’s not quite right. I have words. But what I really have are questions. Ones that have been rolling around in my mind as I’ve been reflecting on my own journey and shaping what’s ahead for 2025 (more on that later!).

Here’s what’s been on my mind and in heart:

  • I can’t tell you what rest looks like for you.
  • I don’t know what slowing down feels like in your world.
  • I don’t know what living a connected and present life means for you.

Only you do.

I can share tips, insights, and resources, but I can’t give you answers. Why?

  • What works for me may not work for you.
  • There is no quick fix.
  • I can’t wave a magic wand and know exactly what you need (I wish!).

What I can do is nudge you toward finding them yourself. And that’s the bulk of my work - nudging, asking questions and holding space for you to get curious and walk your own path of discovery.

And hey, these are the questions I’m asking myself. Why? Because I find that we often focus so hard on our goals - what we are striving to achieve - that we lose sight of how we want to get there. We fall into a trap of constant doing and forget that we are here to experience life. We forget how to be.

As we step into this new month, I invite you to pause. Not to plan more or do more - but to ask yourself what you truly want this month and year to feel like. Not just what you want to accomplish, but how you want to be.

So today, I leave you with questions. No tips or resources. Questions for you to sit with, to journal about, or simply to hold in the back of your mind as you move through your day and week.

  • Where in my life am I rushing through moments instead of truly experiencing them?
  • What would it feel like to move through my days with more ease?
  • What do I long for but keep pushing aside?
  • What does truly living look like for me?
  • What do I want my life to feel like?
  • Where am I "pushing through" when stepping back might bring more clarity and flow?

There’s nothing to solve here. Just be curious. Notice what comes up when you ponder these questions.

Upcoming Gatherings

The Connected Life Hangout

Join me the first Tuesday of each month for a free gathering where we explore simple, meaningful ways to unplug from life's demands and reconnect with ourselves.

This month's theme: Breaking Free from Busyness: What's Love Got to Do with It?

I'll kick off the conversation with insights on how love - self-love, love for our time, love for what truly matters - influences how we experience busyness. Then, we'll open the space for connection, conversation, and fresh perspectives.

Come as you are. Stay as long as you like. Leave with new insights, simple tools, and a little more breathing space.

Our next one is on Tuesday, February 4

I'd love to hear what came up as you asked yourself these questions. Reply to this email and share what you noticed and if you need help exploring these questions, just ask. I'm happy to brainstorm ways to explore these questions more deeply. Or you can book a 20-minute connection chat.

I'm here for you whenever you are ready to chat.

Sending love and easeful vibes,

Chris

This Week's Tip: Start Your Month With Intention

Find a quiet spot. Close your eyes, take a deep breath in… and let it go.

Breathe in possibility...like the first hint of dawn over the horizon making room for whatever this month may hold.

Breathe out heaviness...like the setting sun releasing the day's pressure. letting go of the need to have it all figured out.

Hold one of the questions in your mind, letting it rest there like the sun resting on the horizon. No need to answer—just notice how it feels.

Sit with it for a moment. Then, when you're ready, open your eyes and carry this feeling with you.
